Westmorland is the second of two collections that, along with Cumbria, includes menswear designs. The collection consists of 10 designs, including 3 designs for men, 4 designs for women and 3 accessory designs.
7 of the designs are in the round. Any of the flat knitted designs can be knitted in the round with the addition of steek stitches where the side and armhole seams would be.

The size range for women is S, M, L, XL, XXL, 2XL and 3XL to fit bust 81-86 cm, 91-97 cm, 102-107 cm, 112-117 cm, 122-127 cm, 132-137 cm, 142-147 cm or 32-34 in, 36-38 in, 40-42 in, 44-46in, 48-50 in, 52-54 in, 56-58 in.

The size range for men is XS, S, M, L, XL, XXL, 2XL and 3XL to fit chest 97-102 cm, 102-107 cm, 107-112 cm, 112-117 cm, 117-122 cm, 122-127 cm, 127-132 cm, 132-137 cm or 38-40 in, 40-42 in, 42-44 in, 44-46 in, 46-48 in, 48-50 in, 50-52 in, 52-54 in.

Included in the price of the printed book is a downloadable PDF version, so that charts can be enlarged without the need to spoil the printed book.

Westmorland is the second of two collections that I designed and photographed in November 2021. Like the Cumbria collection, it includes menswear designs. Westmorland is named after the historic county of North West England from the 12th century until 1974 when it became a part of Cumbria.
The menswear is modelled by James, the handsome husband of Georgia, my beautiful model. They were married in September last year, I’m so happy for them as they make such a lovely couple, I’m sure you will agree!
The patterned designs in Westmorland are largely inspired by European ornamental design and Far East textile and carpet design along with mixtures of more traditional motifs. The plain textured stitch designs are inspired by traditional twisted stitches and cables.
Westmorland is the second collection with the new extended size range and features the 6 new colours in the British Breeds range, which were launched last year.
We photographed both Cumbria and Westmorland in the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales National Parks and there are elements of both locations in each of the collections. In the Lakes, we photographed around the village of Elterwater and on the beautiful Langdale Estate. In the Dales, we photographed at the home of my friend Alison O’Neill, at Shacklabank Farm, near Sedbergh. You can read a little more about the locations in the features at the end of the book.
